Alfredo Perez Salmeron was born in Oaxaca, Mexico and brought to the United States when he was two years old. He was raised in Santa Ana, California in a barrio where drugs, gang violence, and prostitution was prevalent. Growing up, Alfredo would often turn to drawing as a form of escape. His drawings were greatly inspired by the Lowrider Arte Magazine and by his mothers embroidery art. 

"It is through my art, that I create a world of color. A world full of life. In every piece, I leave a fragment of myself. I am effortlessly able to express myself the moment I begin to mix hues.
